Winter Nails: Easiest Ever Blizzard Nail Art

For some weird reason, all the glitz and the glamour of the holidays goes out the window come January 1st. But I say we keep things fabulous and frosty through the harsh winter months, especially when it comes to nail art.

Inspired by the shimmer of frozen ponds and sparkling snowflakes, I created this multi-dimensional nail look to keep your mani looking fresh, even if it is hiding beneath fuzzy mittens. The best part? It's really easy.
Supplies

- Medium cool toned blue polish
- Opaque white polish
- Sparkly silver polish
- Nail art fan brush (I used the one included in this kit)
- Top coat of choice

Step 1: Coat nails with a medium cool toned blue polish.

The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Polish in Got The Blues

I used two coats of The Body Shop's Colour Crush Nail Polish in Got The Blues, which has a quick-dry formula that also happens to be vegan and cruelty-free.

Step 2: Add streaks of snow with an opaque white polish.

White streaks applied by dabbing on colour with a fan brush lightly coated in opaque white nail polish

I created the start of a blizzard effect with feathery streaks of opaque white using Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in White Out and a small fan brush.

Step 3: Paint strokes of sparkly silver overtop the white.

Silver streaks!

The (almost) final step to this multidimensional manicure is another layer of streaks, also applied with a fan brush, but this time in sparkling silver. I used Wet n Wild Fergie Nail Color in Going Platinum. The real final step is a coat of clear top coat.

All done. The painterly strokes and hints of silver keep it modern.
